My interest in photography began with the purchase of a first-generation digital camera in 1997. I carried it everywhere, filling the floppy disk media it required (yes, floppy disks) with landscapes, travel photos, and family snapshots. In 2004, a move to Hawaii and the purchase of a DSLR changed the way I viewed photography and opened up the possibility of doing more focused work.
I was invited by a friend and coworker to be the second photographer on a lifestyle shoot with a local model. It was an amazing experience that revealed my true passion in photography: capturing human beauty and character in an editorial style. Since that day I've had the opportunity to photograph models in Hawaii, Seoul (Republic of Korea), Washington D.C. and Texas.
San Angelo, Texas is where my wife, Nicole, and I now call home. Upon moving here in 2012 I founded the Photographers of San Angelo -- a social media-based group dedicated to fostering photography education and business through themed events, technique presentations and networking. We currently claim over 200 photographers, models and makeup artists in San Angelo and surrounding areas.
